On June 16, 2016, the Preparatory Meeting of the 5th Chinese and American Forum on Legal Information and Law Libraries (CAFLL) was held in Renmin University Law School. Some members of the Law Libraries and Legal Information Research Society of Beijing Law Society (LLLIRSBLS), the Director of Tsinghua University Law School Library Li-ying Yu, the Director of Renmin University Law School Guo He, the Deputy Director Liu Ming, the Director of Peking University Law School Library Zhi-hong Chen, Ms. Ye Guo from the Legal Information Center of PKU, the deputy head of the Internal and Judicial Affairs Group under the National Library Legislation Decision-making Service Department Bing-xue Liu, the editorial director of Law Science Magazine Hui Li, the Director of St. Mary's University Law School, the representative of CAFLL U.S. Executive Board Robert Hu etc. attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Li-ying Yu, the chairman of LLLIRSBLS and chief librarian of Tsinghua Law School, introduced the preliminary preparatory work for this forum done by the Chinese side firstly. Then Dr. Robert Hu expressed his affirmation and appreciation for the efficient and considerate arrangement made by the Chinese taskforce. The members of meeting put forward opinions and suggestions respectively and discussed deeply the concerning details of the conference, including the topics, schedule arrangement and promotion. The Director of Zhejiang University Law School Library Ling-qiao He, participated the meeting to decide all conference sessions and timetables via video conference.

The 5th Chinese and American Forum on Legal Information and Law Libraries(CAFLL) is going to be held Hangzhou on June 1 and June 2, 2017, organized by Zhejiang University Law School Library and supported by LLLIRSBLS.a
