Hangzhou the capital of Zhejiang Province, is located by the Qiantang River at the Southern end of the Grand Canal. As one of the most renowned and prosperous cities of China for much of the last 1,000 years, Hangzhou is also well-known for its beautiful natural scenery, with the West Lake as the most well-known location. The Venetian Marco Polo supposedly visited Hangzhou in the late 13th century.

The West Lake Enclosed by the hills on three sides, the West Lake mirrors the surrounding landscape to form a panorama of great beauty. The lake was originally part of the Qitang River until its outlet became silted up. It is now 15km in circumference with an average depth of 1.8 meters.
The Lingyin Temple is regarded as one of the four temples by the side of the West Lake. The main hall, 33.6 meters high, is one of
Hu Qingyu Traditional Pharmacy . Built in 1874 by Hu Xueyan, a "red-top official merchant", the Huqingyu Traditional Pharmacy is worth mentioning that Huqingyu Drugstore fully carried out the medicine-making techniques and industry standards stated in the Prescriptions of the Bureau of Taiping People's Welfare Pharmacy drafted by the authorities of the Southern Song Dynasty. It is also fair to say that Hangzhou is the origin of "ancient Chinese pharmacopoeia" and Hu Qingyu Drugstore is an inheritor of the great tradition.
D2: HANGZHOU—WUZHENG—SHANGHAI (L D )
Wuzhen Water Townis an old water town with the distance around 200 kilometers from Shanghai. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful water towns in China.The flat houses,mainly with gray bricks had been built along the river over hundreds of years by successive generations. You will have a chance to take a Chinese traditional wooden boat rowing over the water, going zigzag through the small bridges one after another to find the local people playing cards and tasting tea relaxedly in Tea Stand by the side of the water. It is a great place to wander around to find the ancient docks, waterside pavilions and corridors stretching for miles, which present a typical and harmonic atmosphere to the water town in South of China.
After lunch by bus to shanghai (2 hours) .visit to The Bund, Cheng Huang Miao ,Tv Tower, Shikumen
As an international metropolis, Shanghai is the economic and financial center of
Cheng Huang Miao ,If you want to explore the old Shanghai, go to the old street (also called Chenghuangmiao area) and you will find the 100-year-ago Shanghai here. The ancient memorial arch which is engraved "Shanghai Old Street" word in Chinese characters is presented to you. In this street, people will find the traditional Chinese buildings with white walls and black roofs. Then it comes to the Bund, the showcase with the old buildings of colonial-era leftover along Huangpu River. The renowned waterfront district is the city's most famous landmark.
D3: SHANGHAI—HANGZHOU (B L D )
Shikumen is a traditional Shanghainese architectural style combining Western and Chinese elements that first appeared in the 1860s. This kind of building in Shanghai also called "lane" by the local people in Shanghai. The statue of Shikement buildings in Shanghai, or the so called lane, is the same as Hutong in Beijing.
Go up to the Tv Tower to enjoy a bird view of Shanghai Pudong New Area..After lunch by bus come back to hangzhou (3 hours)
